Prof. Dr. Hartmut Wekerle

Professor Wekerle was director at the Max Planck Institute for Neurobiology from 1988 to 2012 and headed the neuroimmunology department there until 2012. From 2012 to 2018, Professor Wekerle held a senior professorship at the Hertie Foundation. Professor Wekerle was scientifically concerned with the development of autoimmune diseases in the area of the central nervous system (CNS).
